You like me, you really like me!

The comments on my first-ever article published in the Agile Journal have me feeling like Sally Field at the Academy Awards when she gushed, “You like me, you really like me!”  I am so gratified that my words are useful and thought-provoking.  The comments on the article make it clear that this is, happily, the case. When I looked up the Sally Field quote, I learned that it has oft been misquoted.  The actual quote is: “…I can’t deny the fact that you like me, right now, you like me!”  That one is even better for how I feel.  Right now my words are useful, maybe provocative, maybe who knows what for you, but the bottom line is – right now – you like me.  I am well aware that this will not always be the case and I am prepared (as best as one can be) for the day when the comments will not be glowing.  I do not shy away from that day.  I can only write what comes from my experience and my heart and let it be what it will be.  Yet, I still hope that you will like me for a long time to come.
